out of everything, john really misses flying
so one year for his birthday dave surprises him and takes him skydiving
dave is scared to DEATH but john absolutely loves it, he’s so excited and happy and he is just positively glowing for like an entire week after and dave gets a ton of kisses and wow yes this is probably the best present he has had in a long time
so every year dave does something special like that, one year it’s hot air balloons, the next year it’s para-sailing, then there’s even bungee jumping once (dave almost refuses to do this one but john kisses him and it’s all over he can’t resist)
